Puducherry, Jan 15 (PTI) Pongal, the festival of harvest,was celebrated with traditional gaiety and fervour inPuducherry today with the people extending greetings to eachother.
People made a beeline to the local temples to offer prayersat the presiding deities.
The turnout was large at Manakula Vinayakar temple, wherespecial poojas and abishegams were performed to the presidingdeity.
