Amritsar, Jan 14 (PTI) Guru Nanak Dev University herewould introduce four post-graduate courses and increase theintake of students for B Tech courses in electronics andcomputer science.
The new courses are M.Sc. Physics in Material Sciences,M.Sc. Chemistry in Polymer Sciences, Post Graduate programs inComputer Science Engineering and Electronics Technology.
The university would also increase the seats of B.TechElectronics and Computer Science Courses, said Vice-ChancellorA.S.Brar today.
Talking to the media, the Vice-Chancellor said that tostrengthen the post-graduate studies in the University it hasbeen decided to implement the semester system in itsaffiliated colleges from coming academic session 2011-12 andit would be implemented at the under-graduate level from thesession 2012-13 in these colleges.
Moreover, the University would start new courses withenhanced number of seats at its constituent colleges situatedat Mukandpur in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District and Niariin Gurdaspur District from July 2011 while three more collegeswould start functioning in rural areas at Verka (Amritsar),College of Arts, Science
