23 stolen vehicles seized from Kolkata and Jamshedpur

Biharsharif (Bihar), Jan 15 (PTI) Bihar police with thehelp of West Bengal and Jharkhand police have succeeded inrecovering 23 four vehicles that were stolen from differentparts of Nalanda district in the recent past, police sourcessaid today.

District superintendent of police, Jitendra Rana toldreporters here that on specific informations, SHOs of Laheriand Giriak police stations A K Pandey and Naveen Singhrespectively were despatched to Kolkata and Jamshedpur whoraided several hideouts of the vehicle lifters and recovered23 vehicles stolen from under different police stations of thedistrict in the recent past.

The vehicles stolen from the district included heavyvehicles and small cars, the SP said adding that six personsof inter-state gang of vehicle lifters had been arrested.

The owners of the vehicles were being informed aboutrecovery of their vehicles, SP said that the owners wouldbe returned their vehicles on production of genuine papers.
