Meerut, Jan 13 (PTI) Rashtriya Lok Dal supremo AjitSingh today termed UPA government at the Centre as "corrupt"and criticised it for questioning the CAG report on 2Gallocation.
"If there was no corruption in 2G spectrum allocation,then why A Raja''s resignation was sought?," he asked, whilereferring to Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal''s recent remarksclaiming the CAG report on the allocation was "erroneous".
"What is CBI probing into when there was no loss toexchequer? There was huge monetary loss to the country due toformer Telecom Minister A Raja''s policies," he told reportershere.
Singh also slammed the Centre for spiralling prices ofessential commodities and said "food has become so costly thatpeople are not able to feed themselves, but the AgricultureMinister Sharad Pawar seems to be busy in some other work."
He also blamed Uttar Pradesh''s Mayawati government for"failing" to curb price rise and accused BSP MLA''s ofcorruption.
