Trader found dead with stab injuries
New Delhi, Jan 13 (PTI) A 65-year-old trader was foundstabbed to death in a flat in east Delhi with the policesuspecting robbery to be the motive behind the murder as hiscash bag containing Rs six lakh was missing, police saidtoday.
Pritam, a buffalo trader, came to a dairy farm inGhazipur last evening and met its owner Manzar Alam. Hedecided to stay overnight in a flat Manzar owned where he wasstabbed to death.
The incident came to light when Alam''s younger brotherSaharoj went to meet Pritam at 11 pm but found the room lockedfrom outside.
"He used a duplicate key to enter the room and foundthe trader lying on the floor in a pool of blood," a seniorpolice official said.
Pritam was stabbed on the head with a sharp weapon andthe three caretakers of the flat Shankar, Mohan and Thakur areabsconding. A bag belonging to Pritam and containing Rs sixlakh was also missing, he said.
"We are suspecting the involvement of the trio in thekilling and are questioning their family members," theofficial said.
