Kolkata, Jan 13 (PTI) An Intelligence officer and hisschoolteacher friend, allegedly kidnapped by Maoists fromAyodhya area of Purulia district on October 22, are yet toreturn home and their families said they have lost faith inthe administration.
The families of Intelligence officer Partha Biswas andhis friend Soumyajit Basu were today told by DGP NaparajitMukherjee that police had failed to trace them.
"The DGP today admitted failure to rescue them sayinghe did not have any clue on their whereabouts. We have lostall faith on the administration," Biswas'' wife Barnali toldreporters at the secretariat after meeting Mukherjee.
"Then on what basis were we assured by theadministration for the last 80 days? Even Chief MinisterBuddhadeb Bhattacharjee declined to meet us on the plea ofpreoccupation. Its our urgency not of the CM," Basu''s wifeSwachhatoya said.
Maoists have denied their involvement in thekidnapping.
