Chandigarh, Jan 13 (PTI) The Australian High Commissiontoday told Haryana government that it is keen on investing inthe food processing industry and education sector in thestate.
Australian High Commissioner Peter Varghese called onHaryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today, saidan official release.
There is lot of scope for trade and investment inHaryana. The state government had formulated a new industrialpolicy to attract maximum entrepreneurs for setting upventures in the state, said Hooda.
The Chief Minister told the High Commissioner thatHaryana had emerged as an industrial hub during the last fiveyears, and ranked number one in terms of the per capitainvestment. The state had attracted investment from Japan andmany multinational companies.
Hooda said that besides education, emphasis was beinglaid on the food processing industry. The Rajiv GandhiEducation City is being set up on the outskirts of Delhi toprovide global standard education to the students.
"Now, the state government is focused on waterconservation so that every drop of water can be saved," saidHooda.
