GMB signs Rs 1 lakh cr MoU for expansion and shipyard projects

Gandhinagar, Jan 13 (PTI) The state-run GujaratMaritime Board (GMB) today signed memorandum of understandings(MoUs) worth over Rs one lakh crore with various companies forenhancing its cargo handling capacity and building ofshipyards, at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit (VGS) 2011 here.

A total of 97 MoU were signed by GMB with variouscompanies for handling bulk cargo, LNG, coal, crude oil andpetrochemicals, development of greenfield port and forshipbuilding and repairing Yard complexes, officials said.

GMB signed Rs 8000 crore MoU with Adani HPPL Ltd fordevelopment of bulk and general cargo terminal at Hazira inSurat, while it has inked deal of Rs 7000 crore with GVK Power
