Assault on MNS MLA impossible sans Ajit, Patil''s orders: Raj
Aurangabad, Jan 12 (PTI) MNS chief Raj Thackeray todayattacked Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and HomeMinister R R Patil for the police assault on one of his MLA,claiming it was not possible without the orders of the two.
"The police assault on (Harshawardhan) Jadhav could nothave been possible without orders from Ajit Pawar or R RPatil," Raj said at a large public rally at the MarathwadaSanskrutik Mandal grounds here.
"Jadhav''s father was a Congress legislator, but he cameto my party. That is why this anger is being shown," he said.
"The objective (behind the assault on Jadhav) was tofoment conflict between MNS and police."
The MNS chief took the state government head-on over theassault incident as the government yesterday tried to pacifythings by ordering the transfer of three of the policeofficers involved in beating up Jadhav.
Last week, during Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan''svisit in the district, the MNS MLA from Kannad was beaten upby the police officers.
Raj taunted Chavan, saying the CM "looks like a villainfrom the 70 and 80s films."
"You will not recognise him even if he passes by you," headded.
