Appointment of teachers on temporary basis suggested

Madurai, Jan 12 (PTI): City Corporation Commissioner CSebastine today suggested appointment of teachers on atemporary basis through voluntary organisations in corporationschools to overcome the problem of shortage of teaching staff.

Addressing a seminar on how to improve results inCorporation schools Sebastine said the corporation wouldprovide any infrstructure for the schools, including Librariesand laboratories. But shortage of teachers had to be managedthrough temporary hands through voluntary organisations.

Stating that the government was extending all help to thetop 25 students, he said if corporation school students scoredtop ranks they would be given additional aid by voluntaryorganisations. He urged teachers to ensure that their studentsscored better marks in Plus two as well as SSC exams.
