Warne''s ''Tornado'' to play for Pune in IPL 4

New Delhi, Jan 12 (PTI) Shane Warne''s discovery in theIndian Premier League, fast bowler Kamran Khan, will play forthe Sahara Pune Warriors in the fourth season of the cash-richTwenty20 league.

"I have signed the contract with Pune. I will miss Shane(Warne) but I guess a new team will provide me the opportunityto play more matches," Khan told ''PTI Bhasha'' from Mumbai.

Having impressed Darren Berry, the Rajasthan Royalsdirector of coaching, in a suburban Twenty20 tournament, Khanwas given a contract worth about USD 24,000 with Rajasthan forthe second season of the IPL. Captain and Coach Warne calledhim a ''Tornado'' and used him as a front-line bowler.

Khan, in fact, made his Twenty20 debut before havingplayed a first-class match. Khan too acknowledges thecontribution of Warne in building up his career.

"I will not forget what Shane has done for me. Whatever Iam today is because of him. He is a tremendous captain and agood human being," he said.

Khan could play only three matches in the IPL thirdseason due to his knee injury.

"I am fit now and raring to perform. I have several newweapons in my armoury. I could not play much matches in lastseason but this time I will prove my mettle for sure," saidthe 20-year-old son of a woodcutter from Azamgarh, UP.

Khan said he is excited about playing alongside YuvrajSingh whom he admire a lot.

"I met him many times during IPL but now I am playingwith him. I am really excited about this opportunity," hesaid.
