Brits ready to travel miles for 1st date

London, Jan 1 (ANI): Single and ready-to-mingle Brits are ready to travel more than 20 miles for a first date.

Thanks to an increasing number of Internet dating sites, Lodding, or long-distance dating, has become a reality for many.

In a survey for train tickets website bestvaluefares it has been found that the average Brit is willing to travel 23 miles for romance, and some are prepared to trek 100 miles.

"First-time daters seem keener than ever to travel greater distances if they might find true romance," the Daily Star quoted Andrew Robertson, of bestvaluefares, as saying.

"Social media and dating websites have helped to make the country seem smaller when it comes to looking for love," he added. (ANI)
