New Delhi, Dec 31: Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar continued pursuing the Opposition parties to end the deadlock over JPC probe demand in 2G spectrum scam. But this time the speaker snubbed the main Opposition BJP as on Dec 30, she failed to find out solution with BJP.

Meira Kumar on Friday, Dec 31 will meet Opposition parties' leaders like CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat, CPI(M) polit bureau member Sitaram Yechury and JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav.

During the meeting between Lok Sabha speaker and BJP, both parties agreed that demand of Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in 2G became a serious concern for the country.

BJP leaders refused to move from their adamant demand of JPC and rejected the government's proposal of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) probe in the second generation telecom spectrum scam.

However, Meira Kumar showed confidence to get the solution for the logjam as she claimed, "Both sides are very keen that the next session (of Parliament) should run in order ... I am very, very optimistic on how the events will unfold."
