Mumbai, Dec 30: Maharashtra's much popular political party Shiv Sena confronted hurdles in its way after the Pune bandh as police registered FIR against two aides of executive chief Udhhav Thackeray and arrested them on Dec 30.

Milind Narvekar and Sena MLC Neelam Gorhe, the two personal assists of Uddhav, have been accused of plotting disruption in Pune on Dec 28 during the bandh called by the Sena-BJP combine.

According the FIR, the accused torched trucks on the Mumbai-Pune highway and damaged state transport buses in different part of the city on Dec 28.

Pune police booked the two accused depending on the tapped conversations of the duo on Dec 27, where the duo were allegedly making the plan to disturb the law and order situation in Pune during the bandh.

The conversation also allegedly stated a mob of 200-300 people was to come on the roads in the city and traffic coming towards Pune to be blocked.

Shiv Sena and the BJP on Dec 28 held a bandh to protest the removal of Dadoji Konddeo's statue from the Lal Mahal. Dadoji Konddeo is considered the 'guru' of Chhatrapati Shivaji, a revered Maratha figure.
