The rise and fall of bust sizes among Brit girls

London, Dec 29 (ANI): A survey has revealed that the bust sizes of British girls have been rising and falling every few years.

A study of the bra-buying habits of more than 18,000 women has revealed that girls have gone from flat to padded to fake and back to natural over the past two decades.

The quickest change in the most-wanted shape was two years, while even the longest-lasting style was only tops for five years.

In 1992 the favourite bust size was a tiny 32A, as shown off by Kate Moss in the famous Calvin Klein undies ads, two years later girls upped their assets from a natural 34B to a perkier 34C with the new boob-boosting Wonderbra.

By 1997, girls wanted a sportier look popularised by Spice Girl Mel B and girl band All Saints. The favourite size was a flatter 34A.

The new millennium saw women tuck silicone gel pad "chicken fillets" inside their bras to achieve a rounder cup, with 36C - as amply epitomised by actress Minnie Driver - being the top shape.

Then in 2004, girls began resorting to implants, and glamour girl Jordan's deep cleavage saw demand for boob jobs rocket and the favourite breast size leapt to a huge 36E.

Now for 2011 natural breasts are back in fashion, with women ditching implants for a sexier shape, and the most sought-after cup size is a curvy 34DD.

"Looking voluptuous, which most women can achieve with the right lingerie, has never been more desirable," the Sun quoted a spokesman for Asda, who conducted the study, as saying. (ANI)
