We want school to be banned in winter: JK Students

Srinagar, Dec 28: Students in Kashmir demanding for the winter vacation due to the irresistible climate. Kashmir facing an harsh winter climate, where temperature reached minus eight degree Celsius. The students are protesting against the winter classes.

The students pressed govt either to shut the school or to provide heater in school.

“It is no use coming to school in this unbearable cold. Authorities are not even providing the heater and we cannot study hiding inside the muffler," said a student.

The state govt has said that there wouldn't be any winter vacation. Because already there was enough shut down of schools due to violence and curfew during the summer.

The Jammu and Kashmir high court has asked state govt to arrange necessary facilitys, if it wants to carry winter schooling. The court has asked education department to submit the detail report about this, within this month end.
