Pak's 1st female bomber halts UN food supply

Khar, Dec 27: A woman suicide bomber executed a Christmas day attack on northwest Pakistan that killed 46 people. The victims were standing out side the food distribution center, during the attack, according to sources.

It is the first proven attack by female suicide bomber in Pakistan. Previously there was some attacks which was reported to be carried out by female bombers but was not proven.

The burqa-clad woman lobbed hand grenades and blew up her vest explosive belt in the crowd. Woman carried the attack in a United Nations food distribution point in the main town Khar, one of the town in the restive Bajaur tribal region bordering Afghanistan. This UN food agency had fed 41,000 families.

Post the terrified attack by female suicide bomber, World Food Programme has halted the distribution of food in the tribal region of Bajaur. Sources said that it was Pakistan's first suicide bombing carried by a woman that has badly injured atleast 96 people.

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said, “Pakistan will not stop until terrorism is completely eliminated from the country."

US President Barack Obama called this has “Outrageous Attack."
