WikiLeaks ineffective on Indo-US relation: Clinton

Washington, Dec 23: Government sources on Thursday, Dec 23 informed that secretary of States Hillary Clinton made an urgent call to Indian external affair minister SM Krishna and spoke on the recent expose by WikiLeaks and Afghanistan. Both countries have confirmed that Indo-US relation will be remain unchanged, despite the exposes made by WikiLeaks.

"The Secretary and Minister agreed that unauthorised release of classified cables would not affect cooperation between India and the United States," State department spokesperson PJ Crowley stated.

"They (Clinton and Krishna) covered a range of subjects which reflect the depth of US-Indian relations, including President Obama's successful visit and plans for the next Strategic Dialogue," informed Crowley.

"They talked about the importance of ongoing counter-terrorism cooperation. They also discussed the situation in Afghanistan and Krishna expressed condolences over the loss of Richard Holbrooke," he added.
