Mamata Banerjee
Kolkata, Dec 23: Trinamool Congress leader and Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee on Dec 22 declared that she will resign if she can not prove that CPI(M) has misused the Central security force brought for anti-Maoist operations in Bengal so far.

"The CPI(M) is misusing the central forces. I would have nothing to say if the central forces were used against Maoists," stated Trinamool leader.

"If I cannot prove that the central forces are being misused by the CPI(M), I am ready to quit. Will the CPI(M) government also do so," she added.

Pointing at several Trinamool Congress leaders' murder in the state, Mamata claimed, "Central forces are being used to kill Trinamool Congress workers in West Bengal. 2,000 workers and supporters have been killed since the Lok Sabha elections. CPI(M) has unleashed a reign of terror."

Reacting on Mamata's declaration, CPI (M) leader Mohammed Salim stated, "I can challenge that till the assembly elections, she cannot take a decision."
