New Delhi, Dec 22 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani on Wednesday demanded that the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, should either face a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe over the 2G scam or quit.

"This campaign against the ruling party is a result of a small reason and that is our demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee has not been approved, otherwise this rally would not have been held," said Advani.

"The National Democratic Alliance would have fought against corruption but this campaign is only because of a prime cause and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has all constitutional rights to end this reason," he added, while addressing a public rally organised by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) here.

Advani further attacked the Prime Minister for not taking quick decisions.

"As a personal opinion regarding Manmohan Singh, about whom I have constantly spoken about during the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, my biggest complaint against him is that he does not use the powers provided to him as the Prime Minister by the Constitution of India, and instead he regularly awaits the reaction for a decision from 10 Janpath (residence of Congress President, Sonia Gandhi)," said Advani.

The NDA rally is being held just two days after the Congress plenary where its leaders took turns to attack the BJP on issues ranging from right-wing terror to land scam in Karnataka.

The aim of the rally is to target the Congress-led UPA on various corruption scams that have hit the government over the past few months. (ANI)
