New Delhi, Dec 21: The corporate lobbyist Niira Radia is likely to be summoned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers on Tuesday, Dec 21 in regarding the 2G spectrum scam.

Radia has come under this 2G spectrum scandal when a tape of conversation has been exposed by the Income Tax officials. In the tape, Radia was allegedly talking with several persons and tried to restore the DMK leader (A Raja) as the telecom minister in the second term of UPA rule.

The corporate lobbyist also has been instrumental in swinging various spectrum allocation deals on behalf of her clients.

On the other side, former telecom minister and the main accused of the whole 2G spectrum scam, A Raja has tactfully avoided the summon of CBI on Dec 20 as the CBI officials stated, "We're in constant touch with him (Raja). He'll be grilled later this week. He has sought extra time on health grounds."

However, Raja assured complete co-operation with the investigation team as he stated, "I told them (CBI) that whatever be the next date convenient to the CBI, I will come...Now, it is up to the CBI to tell me about the new date."
