Maoists unveil vicious nails again; kill 7 in WB
All the deceased were reportedly the supporters of Forward Bloc in the state and their bodies were discovered in the jungle mahal of the district on Friday, Dec 17.
Police official stated after the incident, "The rebels broke into the houses of the villagers and kidnapped them at gunpoint past midnight."
Forward Bloc leaders, on the other hand, claimed, "rebels are trying to unleash a reign of terror in the run-up to the state assembly elections in Bengal next summer. They are trying to stop our supporters from campaigning."
Maoists, who claimed to fight for the rural poor, have strongly protested in West Bengal and other states like Orissa, Andhra Pradesh.
