New Delhi, Dec 13: Following severe criticism over his "migrant" remarks, Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that he never intended to say anything about the migrants, but reminded about "unacceptable behaviour" of the migrants.

Chidambram also added that he wants everyone to focus on the real issues rather than creating political dilemma.

Chidambram said that he is also a migrant in Delhi, so that he never wants to say about other migrants.

Earlier on the day, citing the increase in number of crimes in capital, Home Minister said, "crime takes place because Delhi attracts a large number of migrants." He also added that "migrants who settle in unauthorized colonies, carry a kind of behaviour that is unacceptable in any modern city."

Later, some Congress leaders and BJP criticized him for the remarks. BJP said that he was speaking like Raj Thakeray, who asked non-Maharastrians to go out of Maharashtra.
