Kashmir Protest
Srinagar, Dec 11: Kashmir University professor Noor Mohammed Bhatt, has been arrested on Friday, Dec 10, for preparing a stinging English question papers for Bsc students. The paper comprised extreme views regarding the stone-pelting turmoil in Kashmir valley in which 100 people were killed.

In the question paper, the professor had raised the question, “are stone pelters heroes?"; another question asked to translate from Urdu to English , Noor's proactive passage that read, “Kashmiri blood is being spilled like water, Kashmiri children are being killed by police, and Kashmiri women are being showered with bullets."

University authorities were puzzled. “He (Noor) has been teaching in the Kashmir University for 20 years and is not known for his extreme views," Mohammed's colleagues told. Many people say that the question reflects the facts and Noor was just trying to point out the futility of protest that was happening now and then in Kashmir Valley by pelting stones.

University authorities are shocked following this embarrassing incident and issued a show-cause notice against professor Noor.

Students were confused and raised a question on, how the University failed to check the question paper, did none of the examination controllers notice them? AN Shah examination controller said, “we usually select five professors and ask them to frame question papers and choose one based on merit."
