Jagan to float new party in 45 days

Kadapa, Dec 7: Rebel Congress leader and YS Rajashekhar Reddy's son, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to float his own party. The former Congress MP has announced this and has emerged from the cloud of uncertainty about his future plans.

Plans are underway to launch a new party in as soon as 45 days. This was announced by Jagan at his hometown, Pulivendula, Kadapa district. "I will be launching a new political party in 45 days. Lakhs and lakhs of people still adore my father late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and appreciate the enormous work done by him," Jagan was quoted as saying.

Claiming the 2014 Andhra Assembly elections will be an answer to all his critics, the party is likely to be called Youth Sramik Ryot (YSR) Congress, according to sources in the Jagan camp. He said that he would undertake welfare programs for people that they would remember YSR for the next 100 years. He expressed confidence and said that his new party would be in the top of the game for the next three decades.

Jagan had resigned from the Congress on Nov 29 along with his mother Vijayalakshmi. He had discords with many top-brass leaders within the Congress. He also faced the wrath of party high command when he aired not-so-flattering programs on party chief Sonia Gandhi in his TV channel Sakshi TV.
