Sprint debuts BlackBerry 8830 World Edition in US

New York, Dec 4: Sprint has announced the launch of BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone in its stores. This new smartphones will be available in United States by Jan 2011.

The new Sprint BlackBerry 8830 has dual SIM capacity, that means it can be used on both CDMA/GSM mode. It offers a 2.8 inch TFT display with 320X480 pixels resolution. The full QWERTY keyboard has a trackball navigation for better usage.

BlackBerry 8830 offers 64 MB Storage which can be extended using micro SD cards. The features include Bluetooth v2.0, Mini USB v2.0, GPS, Blackberry maps, Organizer and Document editor.

Sprint offers BlackBerry 8830 World Edition in United States at a retail price of $200 with 2 years and rebates. This phone will be priced around Rs 12,500 in India. The availability of BlackBerry 8830 World Edition in India is not yet announced.
