Karachi, Dec 3 (ANI): Illegal migrants from Afghanistan are involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has claimed.

"Terrorists from Afghanistan have entered our country to carry out terrorist activities in Pakistan," the Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying, while talking to reporters at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

Responding to a query regarding the situation in Balochistan, he said that the government was open to talks with all parties to bring peace in the province, and asked the Baloch people to help the government hunt down anti-state elements.

"We can go to Quetta, Turbat or Mand for negotiations on meeting their genuine demands, but we will not talk to people indulging in desecration of our national flag," the minister said.

To a query about the startling disclosures made by WikiLeaks, he declined to comment on the issue, saying that those reports were only leaks and carried no authenticity.

While referring to the law and order situation in Karachi and Sindh, he said that special security steps were being taken for Muharram.

Earlier in November, Malik had said that the explosives used in bomb attacks on Pakistani territory were being smuggled from Afghanistan.

"All these IEDs (improvised-explosive devices) are actually being transported from Afghanistan to Pakistan," he had said in a national conference on countering the threat from roadside bombs.

"With naked eyes, you can see on the border... that the terrorists are coming towards Pakistan, along with arms and ammunition," he had added. (ANI)
