For using Indian languages on iPad, users have to upgrade to iOS 4.2.1 OS. For upgrading to iOS 4.2.1 on iPad, Apple Forum has advised some users to follow this procedure:
* Try to upgrade normally to iOS 4.2.1 (if it won't work try the next steps)
* Uninstall iTunes, QuickTime and all Apple related entries from the PC
* Reinstall the new version of iTunes
* Disable firewall
* Then upgrade to to iOS 4.2.1
The feature list of iOS 4.2 mentions “New languages, dictionaries and keyboards" but doesn"t give the list of languages iOS supports. Users, who followed the above instructions, have successfully upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 and enjoying Indian flavour on iPads.
