Earlier on Monday, Nov 29, YS Jagan sent an open letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi describing his reasons for the resignation. He accused AICC for the continuous humiliation for last 14 months.
In the letter, Jagan said the he was a victim of dirty politics from his own party and the malicious campaign against him and his family led to his resignation.
"A malicious campaign was beign unleashed against me, my family and lastly my late father and a great leader of masses Dr YS Rajashekhara Reddy. Though I have been observing utmost restraint, concerted efforts were being made to send me out and dim my late father's image and prestige," wrote YS Jagan.
