AP: Jaganmohan resigns, plans to launch party

Hyderabad, Nov 29: Creating a major twist in Andhra Pradesh politics, Congress rebel leader and son of former Chief Minister YS Rajashekhara Reddy, YS Jaganmohan Reddy has resigned Kadapa MP post on Monday, Nov 29.

Jaganmohan's mother Vijayamma also submitted resignation of her MLA post.

In a dramatic move, Jaganmohan has submitted his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Sources reported that Jagan is planning to launch his own party in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan has sent an open letter to Sonia Gandhi saying that many Congress leaders from Andhra have played dirty politics on him. He also added that his fathers legacy has been hijacked and AICC has insulted him repeatedly for last 14 months.

Earlier on Sunday, Nov 28, his uncle and brother of YSR, Vivekanandha Reddy met Sonia Gandhi in seek of cabinet ministership. Congress national leadership is planning to weaken Jagan's camp by offering key positions to YSR loyals in the new Andhra Cabinet.
