Hoping that Pakistan would bring the 26/11 perpetrators to justice, Chidambaram said: "While we will trust our neighbour, we must always verify and be vigilant."
Laying emphasis on security apparatus, Chidambaram said: "We have learnt a lesson that while we must trust our neighbour, we must always be on guard."
"We must pay attention to police forces or else we won't have an efficient police force. We must pay attention to proper training, weapons and housing needs of police force," he added.
The Home Minister also laid a garland at a 7-feet tall structure made of black granite that has been placed at the place where the terror attacks took place.
A message is inscribed on the structure that "the fight with terrorism will continue."
