Will support Nitish, but introspect reasons for defeat: Lalu, Paswan

Patna, Nov 24 (ANI): Congratulating Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for the victory of his National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-Janata Dal-United (JD-U) alliance, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad and Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) President Ram Vilas Paswan on Wednesday said they would support the Nitish Government, adding that they would also introspect on the reasons for their defeat.

Addressing a joint press conference with Paswan, Lalu said: I congratulate Nitish Kumar, not the BJP for the success."

"Though we accept the people's mandate with humility, we will soon undertake a thorough review of what led to such astonishing results," he added.

He further said there was some mystery behind the landslide victory and many seats won were from areas that were not strongholds of either the BJP or the JD-U.

"I am not accusing anyone, but there is some mystery in their victory, we will find out," he added.

He also said he would introspect on why his party had suffered such a big defeat. (ANI)
