London, Nov.19 (ANI): A terrified boy who received death threats from Muslim pupils has quit school in fear of his life.

Darius Gill and his mum Clare are looking for a new home after he was threatened with knuckle-dusters and knives, the Daily Star reports.

The tabloid quoted Clare, 42, as saying: "I will never let Darius go back to that school. I fear for his life if he goes back."

She added: "The threats were dangerous and terrifying. No child should have to put up with that treatment. We've both decided that he won't be going back."

Thirteen-year-old Darius, whose father is a Muslim, was targeted after he posted pictures of British troops on Facebook as an Armistice Day tribute.

A gang of pupils at Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry, who call themselves the Muslim Defence League, vowed revenge.

The school has decided to expel five boys and a girl, all 12, for their role in the incident.

Principal Wendy Tomes said: "We are very disappointed that Darius has chosen not to return."

Coventry Police Superintendent Ron Winch said: "We will conduct a thorough inquiry to assess whether there has been any criminal behaviour." (ANI)
