Koraput (Orissa), Nov.15 (ANI): Orissa Police took into its custody the wife of a Maoist cadre in Semiliguda area of Koraput District on Sunday.

Sirisha, who has been taken into custody, is the wife of a top Maoist leader Ramakrishna, the Andhra-Orissa Border Special Zonal Committee Secretary.

It has been reported that the police also arrested three other ultras along with her.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Soumendra Priyadarshi said that Sirisha and two other female cadres, Iswari and Punimadingi, along with a driver, were intercepted and arrested while they were travelling towards the Maoist-affected areas.

"A lot of literature regarding the activities have been found and seized from them. She carries a reward of rupees two lakhs from Andhra Police. Actually she had come to meet her husband and son who are hardcore cadres and during that time and during that process, they have been picked up," said Priyadarshi.

Sirisha has been involved in many cases of violence in Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.

"She has been working with them (The Maoists) since past 10 years but we came to know only five years ago. She has not been keeping well and Maoists are also being killed, so I am calling her back," said P.Anthoni, Sirisha's Father.

As per police officials, Iswari was supposed to join as the central regional commander of Narayanpatna Dalam area.

Police seized many documents and blueprints of the Nayagarh armoury loot and Jehanabad jail attack. By Sarada Lahangir (ANI)
