Jayalalithaa on Thursday, Nov 11 asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to sack A Raja and offered help if Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) withdrew support to UPA.
"My priority is that probity should be restored and the perpetrator of such a massive scam should not go scot-free simply because of coalition political compulsions," Jayalalithaa said.
"There are other like-minded leaders. I have spoken to them. My party has nine MPs in Lok Sabha. The friendly parties have enough numbers. What is holding back the Congress now?" she asked.
Earlier on the day, Central government filed affidavit in Supreme court denying the report that 2G Spectrum allocation caused a loss of Rs 90,000 to 1,40,000 crore to the exchequer.
Both Houses of Parliament adjourned till Monday, Nov 15 following the opposition's ruckus demanding Union Telecom Minister A Raja's resignation.
