Ambala, Nov 11: In a shocking twist to the Ruchika Girhotra molestation case, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday, Nov 10 said that there was no evidence to support the allegations made by Ruchika Girhotra's family against former Harayana Police Chief S P S Rathore.

In a closure report filed in a court, the CBI rebutted all eight charges made by Ruchika's father S C Girhotra and four allegations made by her brother Ashu.

The Girhotras had alleged that Ruchika's brother was taken home in a semi-nude condition and that false cases were slapped on him at behest of Rathore; besides making other accusations involving the suicide of Ruchika among other incidents.

The court has now issued notices to Girhotra and Ashu on CBI's argument that all their allegations were baseless.

Rathore is serving 18-month jail sentence for molesting the teenager in 1990.
