2G spectrum scam: Parliament adjourned till Nov 15
The Congress party workers criticized the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) for K S Sudarshan's anti-Sonia Gandhi remarks.
The Parliament will now meet on Monday, as Friday, Nov 12 has been declared holiday for the MPs for the Chhath festival, which is celebrated widely in Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers raised slogans against Raja as soon as Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar took her seat. They were joined by AIADMK leaders and Shiv Sena members. Some of the CPI-M leaders later raised slogans from their seats.
The Congress leaders later raised slogans against former RSS chief K S Sudarshan's anti-Sonia Gandhi remarks following which Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House for the day.
Similar scenes were witnessed in the Rajya Sabha as well with Chairman Mohammad Hamid Ansari requesting the agitated members to calm down.
Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned on Wednesday, Nov 10 as opposition members demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the 2G-spectrum, Adarsh housing society and Commonwealth Games corruption scams.
