New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): The Delhi Government has approved two development projects of the Public Works Department (PWD) amounting to Rs 17.19 crore.
The proposals were cleared in an Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) meeting, which was presided over by Delhi Finance Minister A K Walia.
Briefing media, Dr Walia said that the EFC has approved the amount including Rs 7.36 crore for remodelling of the drain on both sides of road No 63 in Trans Yamuna area with an aim to improve the surroundings apart from overcoming health hazards.
" The remodelling work will be done on both sides of the 2.4 km stretch within a period of 12 months," he added
Dr. Walia said that four roads in Rohini are to be strengthened with an estimated cost of Rs.9.83 crore.
"This will take nine months to complete the work. The combined length of roads is 5.67 k.m." he added
"The roads which are going to be strengthened includes Road No.B-2, passing through Sector 10, 11, Road No.B-5 passing through Sector 13, 14 and 9, Road No.B-7 passing through Sector 18 and 19 and Road No.B-8 i.e. Dr. N.C. Dabur Marg, Dr. Walia said.
"The strengthening of these five roads in Rohini will help in providing a better network of roads for inter-sector traffic," he added. By Rajesh Gaur (ANI)
