Two-hour hostage drama at BMW France office

Paris, Nov 9: A two-hour hostage crisis reportedly came to an end at the BMW France office here when the police apprehended the armed employee, who took hostages in the office on Monday, Nov 8 afternoon.

Quoting an anonymous police official, media reports state that an elite anti-crime brigade in Montigny-le-Bretonneux helped free the three hostages.

The arrested man, said to be in his 50s, shot two rounds in the lobby but failed to injure anyone.

No further details have been made available yet.

Calls to the German automaker's office were unanswered, reported an international news agency.
