Earlier in Nov, Samsung has announced that it had started the production of 7-inch AMOLED screens for tablets. Media reported that the company will launch Galaxy Tab, which is currently using 7-inch Super TFT screens, with AMOLED display.
The new Galaxy Tab 2 with AMOLED display is expected to be more cheaper and better in power consumption.
South Korea based Samsung reported that the Galaxy Tab is likely to make 1 million sales in 2010. Galaxy Tab was released in Oct 2010 last week in India has created waves in tablet market.
"Although the launching of Galaxy Tab has been delayed a little bit, consumer responses in Europe and Asia have been quite good and we are confident of meeting one million sales mark this year," said JK Shin, the head of the Samsung's mobile division.
Samsung Galaxy Tab is available in India market at Rs 38,000.
