Husain Abdullah Haroon, who was appointed as country's UN ambassador in Sep 2008, has informed that he want to quit the job as he want to do something else for the nation while staying in Pakistan.

"I am 60 years old and want to do something else for my nation while staying in Pakistan. That is why I have informed the authorities that I am coming back," said Haroon during the annual meeting of American Pakistani Physicians of North America (APPNA) in New York.

Haroon's term was extended by Pak government in Oct 2010 till Sep 2011. Media reported that government officials are still trying to persuade Haroon to change his mind.
