Earlier Congress President Sonia Gandhi asked Pranab Mukherjee along with Defence Minister AK Antony to submit report on the scam.
Pranab, who was in Murshidabad in West Bengal, told that he did not know much about the issue at the moment. Ashok Chavan, who offered to resign his post on Saturday, Oct 30, is expected to meet Pranab to present his side of the story on the scam.
Ashok Chavan told the media that as a Rev minister he has merely followed the orders. CNN IBN reported that more politicians involved in the scam. Leaders like Vilasrao Deshmukh, Narayan Rane, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Patangrao Kadam and Shivaji Rao Nilangekar have recommended their relatives and friends for the flats in Adarsh housing society.
Media also reported that BMC is planning to disconnect the power and water supply to the society.
