New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): Social activist Sunil Pandit lodged a police complaint at the Tilak Marg Police Station here on Friday against Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and writer Arundhati Roy for their recent objectionable remarks over Kashmir's integration with India.

Sunil Pandit, an activist from 'Roots from Kashmir', a Delhi-based organisation working for the rights of displaced Kashmiri Hindus, filed the complaint through a six-page letter, elaborating the various offences made by the leaders at a seminar recently.Expressing his anger at the remarks of the separatists, Pandit asserted they must be punished for their 'criminal offence'.

"For the past seven days, we were waiting for the Government of India to really act against Arundhati Roy, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, and others who participated in an anti-India campaign and a seminar which unfolded on October 21 in the heart of the national capital," said Pandit.

"We were waiting for the Home Ministry to act, but lately it has not shown any interest. So, we as common citizens and Kashmiris as well, thought it would be important to approach the justice delivery mechanism. So we have filed a compliant in the Tilak Marg Police Station today, giving a six-page eyewitness account," he added.

Geelani had demanded complete azadi for Kashmir at a seminar held in New Delhi last week.

However, a group of Kashmiri pandits and BJP activists had made strong protest against the anti-national speeches made by the hardliner separatist leader.

Roy, a Booker Prize-winning author, had shared the sentiments of separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani at the function in Delhi. (ANI)
