Red Bull boss says Webber's Korean GP 'collision with drivers' allegations "ridiculous"

London, Oct 29(ANI): Red Bull team boss Christian Horner insists it is "ridiculous" to suggest that Mark Webber deliberately tried to collide with his rivals during Sunday's Korean Grand Prix.

Horner's comments come after former F1 team owner Gerhard Berger suggested that Webber did not brake after hitting the wall in the hope of collecting title challengers Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton.

"As with every incident in Formula One, opinions will always be made without all the facts," Fox Sports quoted Horner, as saying.

"Just to be absolutely clear, Mark's intention was not to take out another driver after his crash in the Korean Grand Prix and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise," he added.

Horner further insisted that the Australian's competitive instincts were the reason he did not brake.

"After Mark's impact with the wall, it was clear on the TV and from the data that his car was badly damaged," Horner said.

"However, the natural and immediate instinct of any competitive driver is not to give up and to keep going. In the atrocious conditions, Mark made the snap decision to continue as every driver would in that situation," he added. (ANI)
