Hurriyat seeks UK's help to solve JK row

Srinagar, Oct 19: Attending a meeting with two British diplomats in Srinagar, Hurriyat leader, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq asked United Kingdom (UK) to intervene into the human rights violation issue in Kashmir.

Hurriyat demanded meaningful and result-oriented talks on Kashmir and hoped that the country would obey UK's influence and initiate steps at the diplomatic level.

However, JKLF chairman, Yasin Malik also urged the United Kingdom to use its friendly ties with India and Pakistan for resolving the Kashmir issue.
