CWG corruption: IT raid at BJP leader's residence

New Delhi, Oct 19: After Commonwealth Games organisers, now BJP's name also has been included into the corruption list of CWG as Income Tax officials on Oct 19 raided a BJP leader's residence and office regarding the issue.

Sudhanshu Mittal, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was allegedly involved in the corruption to a Commonwealth Games contract.

The IT officials also raided IREO Group, a company owned by Mittal's relative Lalit Goyal. The IREO had a CWG contract for overlay equipment.

As Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh assured that those, who were responsible for financial violations in CWG, would be identified and held accountable, 25 locations in and around Delhi were raided by IT officials till Oct 19.
