Pune, Oct 19: In a press meet organised by the Pune Union of Working Journalists on Monday, Oct 18, Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari said the Congress was sullying the BJP's image by accusing it of being anti-Muslim. “We are not anti-Muslim, we are anti-terrorism." he said

“In the last 62 years, the Congress has given Muslims only the jobs of truck driver and cleaner, and paan shop owner. One must realise that terrorism has only one colour and that is black. Secularism for the Congress means supporting terrorists."

According to The Hindus, Gadkari accused the Congress for supporting outfits like the Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). “They are obviously doing it to gather vote banks."

While he praised his party and added that BJP's stand was that Hindus and Muslims should come together to fight terrorism.

On irregularities in the Commonwealth Games, Mr Gadkari said the Delhi government and the Centre are to blame equally.

Referring to political crisis in Karnataka, he admitted the party has different types of people and not all party workers were 'ideal.' Learning from mistakes he assured the media personnel that the party would do its best for improvement.
