New Delhi, Oct 15: After issuing the blue alert notice, Enforcement Directorate (ED) issued a look out notice against suspended IPL chairman, Lalit Modi on Friday, Oct 15.
Just after a day, when ED made an effort to force him to return to India and help with investigations into the laundering of T20 funds on Oct 14, ED took the step to issue look out circular.
The ED has written to the regional passport office in Mumbai, seeking scrapping of Modi's passport.
The move suggested to the government's unrelenting effort to probe the allegation of money laundering against those who helped the first three editions of the IPL and leaves Modi with the agonizing choice to return to India or face deportation.
According the ED officials, it might also upgrade the blue corner notice against the former IPL czar to red corner.
