UNSC permanent seat: US to help India?
New Delhi, Oct 13: After India won the non permanent seat at United Nations Security Council (UNSC), US assured that they would help India to grab the permanent seat if it would sort out Kashmir dispute with Pakistan.

Stating about the upcoming India visit of US President, Barack Obama, India's External Affair Minister, SM Krishna said, "US wants India to sort settle the with Pakistan and that Washington would help India get permanent membership of the UNSC."

However, the external affair minister also informed that India's relationship with the US was not dependent on its ties with other countries including Pakistan.

During his statement, Krishna also asserted that India's role as non-permanent membership in UNSC, would not be encumbered by any issues.
