New Delhi, Oct 12: Indian badminton ace Saina Nehwal will be clashing against Scotland's Susan Egelstaff in women's singles semifinals match on Tuesday, Oct 12 at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.
Saina, world number 3, stormed into the semifinals on Monday, Oct 11 clinching two impressive wins. The Indian first defeated Caroline Black from North Ireland 21-0, 21-2; after which she thrashed Anna Rice of Canada 21-7, 21-10.
Now, Saina will take on Egelstaff aiming to book a spot for herself in the CWG badminton finals. Saina's semifinal opponent earlier defeated Australian Chia-Chi Huang 21-18, 21-15.
The women's singles semifinals will be played at Siri Fort Sports Complex at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct 12.
Also scheduled for the day at the same venue is women's doubles semifinals, where Indian duo Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa will be playing.
